Description of works: This 2-story multipurpose hall has a ground floor plan measuring 60m x 30m and a first floor of 50m x 13m. A mix of SUPACOUSTIC perforated and MAXI BEAM was used throughout multiple areas, also using thermal & acoustic installation, plasterboard, fibre cement wall & ceiling linings. External panelling with Vitracore a Knotwood aluminium cladding planks and perforated plasterboards, rigitone and stratopanel, pre-finish acoustic modular slatted celling system.

Problem / Solutions:

The multipurpose hall was executed whilst balancing extreme challenges due to Covid lockdowns, staff shortages during the tropics wet season. Outstanding workmanship was conducted by reviewing schedules, and renewing game plans to fit to the contract schedule at the greatest of professionalism.

Various onsite meetings were conducted to ensure the focus on detail was kept to the highest standard when completing this impressive masterpiece. With the pinch of tight deadlines our Managers and Supervisors worked closely with our team ensuring they were valued and supported.

The eye-catching main hall is designed to impress with decorative lab certified noise absorption panels for optimum room acoustics engineered by Supawood. This multipurpose hall consists of an auditorium, instrumental music classrooms, a gym, sports department staff room, serving area, toilet facilities, a board room, and various classrooms. The new facilities will definitely be a huge hit and provide an added level of educational capability for the students and teachers of St Mary’s School.
